Come celebrate National Friends of the Library week, October 20-26, with Friends of the Edgewater Library at two programs.

Thursday | October 24 | 6-7:30 p.m. | Author Nina Barrett discusses her latest book, The Leopold and Loeb Files: An Intimate at One of America’s Most Infamous Crimes.

Saturday | October 26 | 1:30-2:30 p.m. | Author Janis Johnson, Ph.D. explores It Takes A Child to Raise a Parent: Stories of Evolving Child and Parent Development.

Details for both programs will be published on the website calendar and on our Facebook page soon. Both programs are in the Betty A. Barclay Community Room on the second floor of the Edgewater Library.

You can also celebrate National Friends of the Library Week all month long at Edge of Sweetness, just north of the Edgewater Library at 6034 N. Broadway. Just show your library card or your CityKey ID and you’ll get a 10% discount on their yummy treats! Check out the flyer here.

Last but not least, this is a great time to join Friends of the Edgewater Library. For just $10, you can be a Friend, for $20 you can be a Very Good Friend. There are lots of options - join at the level that’s right for you!

Many thanks to our Program Committee for putting these two events together to celebrate National Friends Week, and to our Community Partner for this month, Edge of Sweetness.
