This nonpartisan program will help you determine who to contact in government based on what you need. We’ll review the complexities of local, state, and federal government and explain how and when to call your representatives, what to say, and why it matters.
This program is a partnership between Friends of the Edgewater Library and the Edgewater Branch of the Chicago Public Library.

In 2025, Friends of the Edgewater Library in partnership with Women & Children First bookstore started a new book-giving program. Library patrons may choose a free book from the selection next to the self-service checkout machine on the first floor. See all our 2024 Bag of Books winners here.
