Join us on Sunday, March 15, at 4 p.m. for a performance of “Middle Passage” at Lifeline Theatre, 6912 N. Glenwood (a half block south of the Morse L).

It’s the story of a newly freed Illinois slave in 1830 New Orleans who stows away aboard an outbound rigger that turns out to be a slave ship bound for Africa. You can read more about this adventure in the novel by Charles Johnson or see it performed with a special post-show discussion with the director.
