What Are You Reading?
It seems like readers enjoy talking about the book they’re reading – or like to pass along the title of one they’d recommend.
That’s what we do at meetings of The No Book Club; it began in August 2017 and is our longest-running program.
Now that we’re meeting virtually, participants are joining us from other parts of the city and the country; you’re invited to join us.
Here are what some folks in the group read recently:
Dewey Defeats Truman The 1948 Election and the Battle for America’s Soul by A.J. Baime
The Education of an Idealist A Memoir by Samantha Powers
Infinite Powers How Calculus Reveals the Secrets of the Universe by Steven Strogatz
How to Make a Slave and Other Essays by Jerald Walker
A Promised Land by Barack Obama
The Paris Architect by Charles Belfoure
Apollo’s Arrow by Nicholas Christakis
My Name is Lucy Barton by Elizabeth Strout
Transcendent Kingdom by Yaa Gyasi
Apeirogon by Colum McCann
The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett
Hood Feminism by Mikki Kendall
The Warmth of Other Suns by Isabel Wilkerson
