Writers on the Edge | Flash Fiction
We had a fun time at our first open mic event, Writers on the Edge | Flash Fiction. For this event, we defined flash fiction as very short stories ranging from a few words and up to, but not more than 500 words.
Our authors, both professionals and amateurs, did a great job of bringing their creativity to life for those watching. There were a few lovely surprises, O. Henry endings, a social media platform guiding one of our writers, and a bit of video magic.
We hope you enjoy watching this event, as much as we delighted in offering writers an online space to show off their talents at both writing and reading aloud. We hope to present more open mic events in our future program calendar.
This program was presented by The Friends of the Edgewater Library in partnership with the Edgewater Branch of the Chicago Public Library.
